New Features and Enhancements
gateway91
Description | Notes |
Gateway licensing | The Gateway licensing has been streamlined into the following tiers:
The "XML Firewall" license has been deprecated. Note: Existing XML Firewall customers should contact their CA account manager to migrate to another edition of the CA API Gateway .See Product Summary for more information. |
Read-only entities | Solution kits can be set as "read only" by the author, to prevent accidental modification. This maintains the integrity of the functionality provided by the solution kit and prevents issues during upgrading of solution kits. For more information, see "Read-Only Entities" in Manage Solution Kits. |
Bulk insert of JDBC data | The new Insert JDBC Data in Bulk Assertion simplifies adding large amounts of data into a JDBC data source from a source CSV file. |
CA Single Sign-On caching | CA Single Sign-On authentication now uses caching to improve performance. For more information, see CA Single Sign-on Configuration Properties. |
Support for CentOS | CentOS is now supported for the software installation of the CA API Gateway . It is also now the underlying operating system for the CA API Gateway Virtual Appliance. |
Support for CORS | The new Process CORS Request Assertion adds support for Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) requests to the CA API Gateway . |
Support for cloud-init | The Amazon Web Service AMI version of the CA API Gateway now supports cloud-init to automatically perform certain operations when starting a new Gateway instance. For more information, see How to Use cloud-init with the Gateway AMI. |
Bypass auditing when database is full | By default, the CA API Gateway stops processing messages when the database reaches a certain threshold. Now, you can specify that the Gateway stop writing audit messages once the threshold is reached but continue message processing. To enable the bypass, modify the audit.managementStrategy cluster property in Audit Cluster Properties. |
Migrate solution kits | Solution kits can now be included as part of the migration process. For more information, see Migrate Solution Kits. |
Publish Swagger service | The new Publish Swagger Service Wizard allows you to create a service endpoint on the Gateway that is protected/defined by a Swagger document. |
Task menu reorganization | The Task menu (Manage menu in the browser client) has been reorganized for improved navigation. Tasks are now grouped within their own relevant categories. To learn about the new organization, see "Tasks menu" under Policy Manager Menus. |
RHEL 7 Support for Software Gateways | The Software form factor of the CA API Gateway can now be deployed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. (Note: This does not apply to Gateways in the Appliance form factor.) |
Configuring the Gateway silently (Hardware/Virtual Gateways only) | You can now configure a Gateway node "headlessly" from the command line, without using the Gateway main menu. For more information, see Auto-Provision a Gateway Node. |
Update Portal integration | The new Update Portal Integration task updates Portal Integration Software on tenant CA API Gateway s when a new version is available. |
Documentation: "Audit Message Codes" renamed to "Audit Detail Codes" | The "Audit Message Codes" topic has been renamed to Audit Detail Codes to better reflect the information being relayed. |
