.Using the Assertion
- Do one of the following:
- To add the assertion to the Policy Development window, see Add an Assertion.
- To change the configuration of an existing assertion, proceed to step 2 below.
- When adding the assertion, theTime/Day Availability Propertiesautomatically appear; when modifying the assertion, right-clickLimit Availability to...in the policy window and selectTime/Day Availability Propertiesor double-click the assertion in the policy window. The assertion properties are displayed.
- Configure the properties as follows:RestrictionDescriptionRestrict access by timeSelect theRestrict Time of Daycheck box and then specify the time period when access is permitted. The time period entered is automatically converted to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and displayed on the dialog.Restrict access by daySelect theRestrict Day of Weekcheck box and then specify the day range when access is permitted. Selecting the same day in both fields will allow access only for that day.TheAPI Gatewayuses UTC so take that into account when implementing day restrictions. For example, the access after 17:00 local time on Friday will be disallowed because it will already be Saturday UTC time. You can restrict access by time and/or day.
- Click [OK] when done.
