Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connections
The Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connections task in the Policy Manager is used to create, edit, remove, or test connections to Salesforce.com. These connections are used in the Execute Salesforce Operation assertion.

Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connections
task in the Policy Manager is used to create, edit, remove, or test connections to Salesforce.com. These connections are used in the Execute Salesforce Operation assertion. The Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connections task is available only after the Salesforce Integration Kit is installed.
To manage Salesforce connections
:- In the Policy Manager, select [Tasks] >Extensions and Add-Ons>Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connectionsfrom the Main Menu (on the browser client, from the Manage menu).
- The Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connections dialog appears.
- The Salesforce connections that have been configured are displayed. Choose an action to perform:To...Do this...Create a new Salesforce connection
- Click [Add]. The Salesforce Connection Properties are displayed.
- Complete the properties for the connection.
Create a new Salesforce connection based on an existing connection- Select the connection to copy.
- Click [Clone]. The Salesforce Connection Properties are displayed.
- Edit the properties as required.
Edit a Salesforce connection- Select the connection to edit.
- Click [Edit]. The Salesforce Connection Properties are displayed.
- Edit the properties as required
Remove a Salesforce connection- Select the connection to remove.
- Click [Remove]. The Salesforce connection is removed from the list
- Click [Close] when done.
Salesforce Connection Properties
When creating, cloning, or editing a Salesforce connection, the Salesforce Connection Properties appear.
To access the properties for a Salesforce connection
:- Run the Manage Salesforce Operation Service Connections task.
- Choose a connection from the list and then click [Edit]. You can also click [Add] to define a new connection or [Clone] to quickly define a connection based on an existing one. The Salesforce Operation Service Connection Properties appear.
- Configure the properties as follows:SettingDescriptionConnection NameEnter a name to identify the Salesforce connection.User NameEnter the username of the Salesforce account.PasswordTo define a stored password, click [Choose the stored password of the Salesforce account from the drop-down list.Manage Passwords]. For more information, see Manage Stored Passwords.Security TokenTo define a stored security token, click [Choose the stored security token of the Salesforce account from the drop-down list.Manage Passwords]. For more information, see Manage Stored Passwords.Endpoint URLEnter the URL of the Salesforce Login Server.Enable this connectionClear this check box to disable the connection, keeping the settings intact.Select this check box to enable the connection.TestClick [Test] to validate the settings as configured for the Salesforce connection. If the test is not successful, the Policy Manager will display error messages to help you correct the problem.IMPORTANT:Context variables cannot be used in the Salesforce Connection Properties, because the variables cannot be evaluated until runtime. Use of context variables will cause the Salesforce connection to fail.
- Click [OK] when done.
