Disabling a Service
You may disable a service if you need to make it unavailable temporarily. When disabled, the service's icon appears as and the service refuses all requests.

Disabling is a good alternative to deleting a service.
Disabling a service occurs immediately on the node that your Policy Manager is connected to. For other nodes in the cluster, it could take approximately 20 seconds for the disabling to take effect.
To disable a service:
- Open the service properties by doing one of the following:
- Right-click the web service or XML application under the Services and Policies list and then selectProperties.
- Select [File] >Service Propertiesfrom the Main Menu.
- In the [General] tab, select [Disable].
- Click [OK]. The service is now disabled and all requests to this service are rejected.
