To determine whether an individual gateway machine is accessible through the network, do one of the following:

  • Use a monitoring tool (for example,
    Big Brother
     from www.bb4.org)
  • Use the cluster Load Balancer to ping the Gateway IP address or each Gateway cluster node IP address on a periodic basis. For more information, see Configuring the Load Balancer.
